About WEVA & USAV

The Western Empire Volleyball Association (WEVA) is a regional chapter of USA Volleyball (USAV), our governing body for club activity.

Membership provides coverage under the USA Volleyball Insurance Program.

ALL players, coaches and staff are REQUIRED to be members of USAV & WEVA in order to participate in sanctioned events (including tryouts, practices, clinics and tournaments).
Memberships
USAV and WEVA use the SportsEngine Member Management System.
The system requires each family to create a free "household" SportsEngine account with an adult's email. Ideally, families will have just one primary profile, and other emails can be added to this profile. To purchase a WEVA/USAV membership, you must first enter the email and information of an adult (Household owner). You will then add the junior to your household before completing the purchase. If you are purchasing an adult membership, please note that each adult membership needs to be associated with a unique SportsEngine household (ie. one adult email for each account).
Regular memberships will be available for purchase by September 1st and expire on August 31st. Tryout memberships are available starting mid-July and expire December 31st.
Any player new to WEVA is encouraged to purchase the Junior Tryout membership. It allows for participating in all WEVA club tryouts and can be upgraded to a full membership after finding placement on a team/club. Details on the available membership types is included below.

RECCOMENDED to participate in tryouts

This membership is for tryouts only, but can be used with tryouts at any WEVA affiliate club. This membership must be "upgraded" to a Junior Player or Practice Player membership in order to be affiliated and practice/play with a club. The tryout membership expires on December 31.

This full season membership allows juniors to practice with club teams but does not allow for play in any sanctioned tournament

A tryout membership can be upgraded to this membership for $18

This membership can be upgraded to a full membership after paying the cost differential ($36)

Anyone turning 18 by end of the season (Aug 31) will be required to complete the SafeSport training course.

This is a full season membership for all players falling into the 17U, 16U, 15U, 14U, 13U and 12U age divisions. It includes both indoor and outdoor participation and makes players eligible for all regional and national level events.

Full season junior player membership for those who are 18 or will turn 18 by the last day of the season (Aug 31) or 19 and in the 12th grade. Includes both indoor and outdoor participation and eligible for all national level events.

SafeSport training must be completed prior to being eligible to participate.

This Membership option is for players that are 11 years of age or younger during the entire membership season.

Membership allows the individual to play in regionally sanctioned tournaments only. Individuals in this category are not eligible to play in national level events
